Good Week

On Tuesday I was at the Funny Bone at Westport. My set was alright. I tried a couple of new bits out and they went about as well as I expected. I got some good compliments from some of the other comics, including Arvin Mitchell. Arvin's a hell of a comic. Check out his website (www.arvinmitchell.com).

Wed, I went over to Fairview Heights to do a spotlight. Thanks to Joey and Brett for letting me come out and do some time. Elsa came out to tape me. I was hoping to get a 7 minute spotlight tape that I can send out. My set was ok. Elsa thought my delivery and timing were good. I tried a few new bits out, like my having my own stalker bit and the Hasidic Jew/Beard bit. The only bit that really missed was the Hasidic Jew one. It went over everyone's head. I've tried it twice and it hasn't done very well but I still like it and am not ready to give up on it. The rest of the set went great, so all and all I'm pretty satisified. Jeremy Essig (www.jeremyessig.com) is featuring at Fairview this week. Go and check him out. He's one of the funniest comics around.

That day I got a call from Bill Davis. Bill's a fellow comic and he invited me to perform at his company's Xmas party on Dec 7th at the Comedy Forum. I also got an email from Mark Morfey (www.markmorfey.com). He's trying to set up a comedy show at Laughs on the Landing and asked if I wanted to be a part of it.

So this week, I had two solid sets, maybe got my 7 minute spotlight tape and I got one new gig and possibly a second. Wow for a brief moment, I actually feel like a real comic.
